This one’s for the dirty-minded! I call it “Just the Tip” because once you have just a little bit, you just can’t help going in for the whole thing. Nothing brings complete satisfaction on a cold, northern winter day (Currently -3 degrees outside), like this simple “Hot Dish”.
I dare you to put this in your mouth and not be over come with satiete temptation to have just a little more.
- 1 Large bag of Egg Noodles (Creamette works just fine)
- 2 Cans of Campbells classic Tomato Soup
- 2 Cans of Campbells classic Cheddar Cheese Soup
- 3-4 Cloves of Garlic (adjust to taste)
- 1-2 Shallots or small white onions
- 1 lb or ground beef
- 2 Rings of Polish Keilbasa
- Sea Salt
- Ground Pepper
- Mozzarella Cheese
STEP 1 – Mince up your onions and garlic to a pretty fine chop. You may also cut your Kielbasa into coins at this point. Sausage thickness is totally a personal preference.
*** I used shallots in this version, as I do quite often when onions are involved. They have just a subtle difference in their subdued taste and blend nicely with other ingredients.
STEP 2 – Add your ground beef to a large skillet on low. Add in the onions, garlic, sea salt and pepper to taste. Add just a drop of olive oil to this mixture. Mix and turn often to break the ground beef down and infuse it with your spices.
STEP 3 – Slide your sausage into the warmed meet mixture. Mix Thoroughly and put a lid over it.
STEP 4 – Bring a pot of water to a roaring boil and add your egg noodles.
STEP 5 – In a LARGE mixing bowl, add the entire meat mixture from the pan, the egg noodles and the contents of all your tomato soup and cheddar cheese soup cans. Mix thoroughly with a spatula.
STEP 6 – Pour the mixture into 1 or two casserole baking dishes (depending on the size of your dishes). Sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese evenly over the tops. You can really use any cheese you like here; cheddar also is a tasty compliment. Put them into the oven for about for about 5 -8 minutes under a low broiler to brown the cheese.
Viola ! You’re done. Pull your succulent “Just the Tip” Casserole out of the oven and put it in your mouth. I guarantee you wont be able to stop. Make sure you pair up your dish with a fine selection of french wines from South Lyndale Liquors. We recommend these 4 below to help continue your satiate experience.
