A Manhattan Recipe For Monday
If you’re into whiskey, like we are… then you probably have at least one classic cocktail in your repertoire that is your undying love affair. For us, its the manhattan. There are so many ways to make a manhattan while staying within the age-old recipe of whiskey, vermouth and bitters.
- 2 oz Jefferson’s Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey “Very Small SLL Batch”
- 1 oz Antica Formula Vermouth
- 8 Drops Bittercube Cherry Bark Bitters
- 2 Luxardo cherries on a pick
Your method of mixing really depends on your personal preferences. If you like it on rocks, say for enjoyable drinking on the back porch or in front of a movie, you can begin by filling your favorite rocks glass with ice. Pour 2 oz of Jefferson’s over the ice, followed by 1 oz of Antica Vermouth. Then drop 5 to 8 drops of Bittercube Cherry Bark Bitters onto the top, pick to luxardo cherries a give the drink a swirl or two with the cherries.
If UP is your jam and you might be hosting a fancy dinner or enjoying the James Bond lifestyle, then you may want to shake these ingredients over ice and strain them into a martini glass.
No matter how you look at it, a manhattan is a great way to spice up a Monday for the whiskey aficionado. Do you have a manhattan recipe you love? Let us know about it or submit your recipe!
